"What....who.......are you real? Or........am I about to die? Are you death?"

"I may look like it, but I'm sure as hell not death. Who are you? How long have you been here?" Something about the man's emaciated condition bothered him. Although he wasn't known for his acts of charity, the idea of being locked up in a long-defunct prison and kept on the verge of death was horrific enough that he felt bad for the man. Very bad.

"My name's....I....I'm....Eric...And I don't.....I'm not sure how long....." he says, weakly.
"I was just....scaving....and then the ro....ro..robots caught me and made me.....live here...."

"I bet that was a surprise, huh? Listen Eric, I'm gonna try to get you outta here, but it might be hard. Is there anything you can give me for springing you? Maybe you know of any good places to scav around here, or in Florida?" He felt bad for the guy, sure, but if Russel tried to rescue every sap who fucked themselves over, he would've ended up in a shitty position himself a long time ago. If there was some sort of trade, however, that was different.

"I....there's an.......door down on the 1st floor I was trying to open.....Almost had it before...." he says weakly.

Russel was hoping for something more out of the man, but it would have to do. Instead of trying to open the door, however, he inspected the man's cell, hoping to find an easy way of freeing him.[PER]

There's a heavy looking lock on the cell door, but it also looks like it may have some electronic components as well.

Russel examined the electronic components and tried to deduce their purpose. [SCI]

Beyond them being part of the door, he has no idea.

Instead of manually picking the lock, Russel decides to see if WARDEN can open the cells. It made more sense to him to explore both cell blocks and open all the cells, hassle free, later. "Listen, Eric, I think I know a way to get you outta here. Just hang tight, and I'll be back." He steps back from the cell and descends to the next floor. Once there, the ghoul takes a look around to see what these cells contain. [PER][SUR]

On the second floor is another molerat, 2 or those spiders, and a feral ghoul.

Russel goes through a range of emotions on this floor. He laughs at the molerat, he weeps for his brother ghoul, and nearly wets himself at mere sight of the spiders. Figuratively, of course. He contemplates freeing the ghoul and attempting to release it into the wastes without harming anyone, but figures it would just go on to make some unlucky asshole's day just that much shittier. Instead, he goes down another level and looks around.

On the ground floor is but a single man.
He is sitting on his filthy bed and just staring at the wall.
His armor is made from old football pads and his cloths are bright red.

Russel sauntered up to the cell, overjoyed to find a catch such as this in the prison. He looked vaugely pleased with himself, as if somehow he had personally caught and imprisoned this member of The Legion. He'd had to put up with a lot of smoothskin bullshit lately, but, as always, had managed to find a way to grin and bear it. Now that there likely weren't caps at stake, he'd found somebody who he could finally take out his anger on. Though this man had probably never personally done him any wrong, The Legion's stance on ghouls made him a perfect scapegoat to Wade. Sure, the guy wasn't Enclave or anything, but he'd do nicely. When the prospector had said this place was a goldmine, the man hadn't the faintest idea.
The police handgun was pulled out and banged on one of the cell's bars. He hoped the resonating clang would draw the attention of the seemingly distracted recruit, but began speaking regardless if the man was minding him. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here. A dirty, kiddie-fuckin', skirt-wearin', no good piece of shit found his way into a prison cell." He stopped to chuckle a bit, then continued. "Looks like you aren't having much fun in here, eh? Tell me, kid, what're you in for?" Russel hoped to eventually enrage the captive. It would make pulling the trigger that much more satisfying.

"I have nothing to say to you profligate. Unless you're going to free me, leave me to die in peace." He says plainly.
He isn't near death like the other man, so you assume he just got here.
