The pain subsided, and never returned. Victorious, Parker returned to sleep. He would later find out that he spent a combined total of 6 Weeks unconscious.
Of the 25 Participants in Project Orion, Parker Rayne was one of the only 8 survivors.

After his rehabilitation, his first day of training began. His first initial test was to find out what exactly had been changed in his mind, how he had evolved.
He is walked into a room and locked inside. There is a wooden box on a table, another 2 way glass, and a keypad that can unlock the door.
The intercom crackels with the voice of the doctor who oversaw his induction process.
"Alright Mr. Rayne, you know the drill. You need to try and effect the box without touching it, ask the man outside your door to let you out without speaking to him, or simply figure out the code to the pad.
Subject: Rayne. Preliminary Trial. Attempt 4. Starting in 3...2...1."

For some unknown reason Parker felt that he had the best chance of figuring out the code. He looked at the keypad then wooden box. He studies the wooden box for a clue.

There's nothing about the box that is special. It has writing on it whatsoever.
It is just a box.

The intercom screeches.
"Mr. Rayne, please do not touch the box. You need to try to act according to the experiment's guide lines."
Parker feel like, if the key to completing this lies with the keypad, he should try interacting with the keypad.

Parker spares a last glance at the box then directs his attention to the keypad. He places his hands near the keypad then studies it.

He feels something strange... Something feint. He knows that this is his key to getting out, but how to access it?
He thinks back to the day of the injection, what he felt...

Parker relaxed himself, tried to flush all his emotions, he was calm. He closed his eyes then sought the pattern in his mind. There was a pattern or code to everything, he just needed to find it.

Reaching out, he grasps it with his mind, not seeing the enitre thing, but seeing just what he needs.

Parker cracks a mischievous smile then opens his eyes seeing if the code worked. He watches the door and listens for the sound of the intercom.

The door opens.
The intercom screeches again,
"Impressive Mr. Rayne. You're one of the fastest yet. You even completed the test quicker then some of the HERCULES group."
Project Hercules was, of course, the first experiment, which took place about 4 years before this one.(6 Years Before Present Day)
"Now, if you'd wait in the Hallway, we'll need to conduct an interview, find out how you did all this you understand..."

All of the Orion Group have passed the initial test, and are now, meeting in a sort of makeshift class room, to have their new lives better explained to them.

After some waiting, 2 people enter; A heavy set, muscular man who's bald and mean looking and a Tall Skinny man who's rather pale and a bit sickly, with blond hair.
Parker has seen both of them around the tower, but does not know them by name.
"Alright! I'm here on my own time, so let's make this quick and easy. Save all your questions till afterwards, prefferably when I'm gone." Says the big one.
"My name is Derrick Steinbeck, and like you, I'm a Psyker, Pyro-Dominant to be exact. I'm from project Hercules, the grand daddy of Orion, so I've been at this longer then you." he starts up, and then goes on a speil about how they're the next evolutionary step forward for mankind.
"We're Meta-Humans, like them big, dumb, ugly mother fuckers, only we're like the reverse; Instead of growing big and strong and losing our minds, we expand our minds, while growing into skinny, weakass little pussies. Unless you're me of course." He said with a grin."
He began pacing,
"I don't have to tell you all how much of a toll the FEV took on our bodies, you felt it first hand. Any of you who had dreams of being some macho muscle man can forget that shit right now. You're just lucky to be alive..." He goes on and on, talking about everything from A to Z.
"...So see, you need to have a hand free, no matter what you're doing. Your hands are how your brain is used to interact with the world, so it's sort of a learned behavior. That's why those of us who DO see combat, carry smaller weapons, such as a handgun or a knife, or If you're badass like me, your bare hands..."
From there he moved on to clothing,
'...The heavy shit weighs you down, feels unnatural. Think about it; You feel most comfortable when you're naked or nearly naked right? Comfort Clears the Mind, makes it easier to focus, you get me? I mean hell, I've gone into combat without a shirt on more times then I can count! Don't need much armor when everybody's dead in 12 seconds..."
((Summary: You need a free hand to use your powers, and anything heavier then Light Armor will impose a penalty.))

Parker listened carefully to the speaker. He didn't care about being physically strong, he was more concerned with wielding power. The armor wasn't an issue nor was keeping a hand free.
Parker wanted to learn the extent of his abilities and begin to put them to use.
