With the huge influx of immigrants, mercenaries, and wanders, many companies have capitalized on the southward expansion by sending caravans to the southern territory.
At first, the caravans merely wandered from settlement to settlement, hoping for a profit. This strategy, however, proved to be inefficient in both cost and time.
Therefore, a solution was found: The ruins of the city once known as Jacksonville have been renovated and occupied by the various wasteland merchant organizations. The northern position allows for a steady supply line to move in both directions.
Jacksonville itself has also become quite the township, and people willing to make the trip never leave disappointed.
A few of the more well known companies with a presence in Jacksonville are The Crimson Caravan Company, The Gun Runners, and The Van Graff family.
