As some of you may know, we've been introducing some new security protocols, thanks to generous donations from ROBCO Industries. Namely, The new Securitrons and WARDEN.
This has led to a few rumors floating around about Job security being threatened or The staff being replaced by robot. Nothing could be further from the truth.
As long as you work hard and keep clean, none of you have anything to worry about.

Well, that didn't bode well. Russel thought back to the vaporized corpses, suddenly very glad they hadn't stumbled onto an angry robot on their way. He hoped that the other two news items held some good news, but somehow he doubted it. He exited out of the NEW SECURITY PROTOCOLS option and selected NETWORK SHUTDOWN next.

As you all know, things on the outside have gone south. And WARDEN hasn't worked out well either.
There's not much need for a prison anymore, so effective immediately, the Network will be shutdown. Everyone is hereby unemployed until things get better. IF they get better.
Go to your families and try to get somewhere safe.
Snag one of those brochures with directions to one of those Shelters.

Russel makes a mental note to look for a vault brochure at the Visitation and Information center. He wonders what WARDEN is, and why it failed. Hoping for some answers, he selects the last news option and reads the entry.

With the reactivation of the WARDEN Security network, we here at WCCF are glad to welcome all new or returning staff.
Now that the war is over, we are finally able to return this facility to it's high standards and create a healthy, but strict environment for the sure to be steady influx of new inmates.

By his guess, when the prospector had turned the power back on he'd also reactivated the security system, and, by extension, all of the robots. In a way, the poor man had killed himself. His common sense was telling him to dead back into town, maybe hire another merc or find some way to come back better equipped. At the same time, Russel knew he couldn't just leave. They'd already exterminated a few pests and unlocked the front door. Any old waster could wander in and clear some of the good stuff out before they'd even made it back to town. For this, even though it might mean his death, Russel was going to stay.
With a sigh, he pushed himself away from the table. He told Ezra what they might be up against, then left the room and walked to the wardens office.

The door to the office is not locked, but it looks like there are no lights on in the room.

The office on the right seems to be in pretty bad condition.
The ceiling has caved in, making it dark and covered in debris.
