Martin, left the tent and went to pick up his plasma pistol. He then went towards the edge of the camp. He looks for useful plants and other things for his chemistry set.

Martin doesn't find anything too well hidden, but he does see brightly colored flowers of blue and yellow up on a hill.

He walks up there to pick them, he covers his hands with the sleave of his scrubs and puts the flowers in a one of the pockets.
