"I should take a box, I want to keep it stashed away until I really need it." If he wanted to be honest, Russel doubted he could fire the damn thing even once, but he knew weapons like this were hard to come by in the wasteland. It would hopefully serve as good barter material, or, if he was lucky, he could just trade it away at the next town.
He turned to leave, then stopped and turned back. "Say, have you talked to any of the newcomers in town recently? I mean, besides myself, of course. Anyone like nice young lady or an older guy? The guy is kind of an asshole, from what I hear."

"That girl is an angel, lemme tell ya." he said while putting the magnum into it's carrying box.
"Don't know the guys, but she's gonna make some man really happy one day." He said, sliding the Magnum over to Russel.

He took the gun, then nodded in understanding. "You wouldn't happen to know where someone like them could get work, could you? Or, maybe someone like Jethro?"

"Sid over at the Inn or the mayor are your best bets." He said leaning on the counter.
"You could always ask around town, you might get something thattaway."
Shrugging,
"If you ain't scared and handle yourself, a ways north is the old Ware County Prison."

Well, he'd already asked the bartender. He could run around town, terrifying people who had never seen a ghoul and asking them where the newcomers had run off to, but he decided against it. "The prison-What's up there?" He asked.

"Lotta stuff. Had a guy who used to be a regular to that joint, till on day two months ago, he didn't come back."

Russel considered going, but realized he probably couldn't make the trip back and forth if he scavenged a lot from the area. He decided to go back to the Inn to see what else he could find out about the prison. "Alright. Thank you for your help." He said to Mallard, before turning and leaving the store.

Jake waves good bye, and starts going through his new silver ware collection.

Sammy and her two charges entered the store, "Mallard you around?" She asked.

"Me and Susan," Sammy replied, "And Buzz too. They've come to talk, so be nice!" She said, in a friendly but insistent way, like an old aunt might.

"Susan! You're alright!"
"Of course I'm alright! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU UNCLE JAKE?! WHY WOULD YOU HIRE PSYCHOPATHS TO HUNT US DOWN?!"
Mallard is at a loss and looks at Sam

"One of the Mercs went nuts, and shot up Buzz's people before we even had a chance to talk. It didn't go like I'd hoped at all," she said honestly. "I paid them off with my own money, and told them I never wanted to see their likes again."

"I......So you weren't kidnapped?! Oh Geez...."
"No, I wasn't kidnapped! I just needed to get away from daddy." She said in tears.
Buzz is blank, and has a thousand yard stare, most likely in shock.

Sam sighed. What a bighorner-fuck. "Well..." She said reluctantly to actually point out she was owned caps, "Here she is."
