There are 3 main races in Fallout, each with their own unique quirks:
Human:
Normal, everyday people. Most versatile of the 3 races and have no inherrent strengths or weaknesses.
Special: None
Starter Perk: Will be assigned based on character layout/background.
Must have 2 traits.
Ghouls:
Radiation scarred people who have lived for sometimes hundreds of years.
Properties: -1 E S & C, +1 I, +2 L, Rad Immunity.
Special Traits:
Tech Wizard: +10 to Sci, Rep, and LP. - 1 to P.
Glowing One: Radiation Heals you/ improves abilities, -15 to stealth.
Special Perks:
Cancerous Growth: LVL 6 REQ, +2 to heal rate, regen broken limbs.
Rad Child: LVL 4 SUR50 REQ, Radiation Heals you/ improves abilities. Stacks with Glowing one.
Only has to take 1 trait.
Meta-Humans:
Mutants created by the FEV, big, dumb, ugly, and often psychotic. Rarely welcome in ociety, but some are given the privelage.
Properties: -2 C & I, + 2 S & E, +2 HP Per LVL, Natural Armor.
Special Traits:
Ham Fisted: Unarmed is Tagged, extra unarmed damage, - 10 to all checks that require dexterity.
Vat Skin: Improves Natural Armor, can't wear normal armor. Stacks.
Special Perks:
Tough Hide: LVL 11, E 7 REQ, Improves Natural Armor, gain 10% to all resistances.
Steady Arm: LVL 4, S 6 REQ, -1 AP cost with Burst/ Full auto shots.
Must take one of the Special Traits.
