War. War Never Changes.
In the years since Project Purity and The Second Battle of Hoover Dam, the American Wasteland has become a far more hospitable place. East and West have reunited and begun trade, despite differences in government.
The NCR, having emerged victorious against Caesar's Legion, has expanded it's border signifigantly east of the Colorado River, and has since moved it's capital city to what used to be Saint Louis, MO, naming the new city Redemption.
The Brotherhood of Steel meanwhile, has found itself in the midst of a civil war, between the West and East Sects, called the True Brotherhood and the Knights of Prosperity respectively. All the while, a few elite squads on both sides of the conflict actively hunt down the Remnants of the Enclave.
Caesars Legion disbanded nine years ago with the death of Caesar himself. An estimated 20-30 bands of 12-15000 soldiers now wander the wasteland, raiding settlements, attacking the NCR in hit and run strikes, and warring amongst each other.
Despite all these little scuffles, the key players have developed something of a lasting peace based on mutual fear.
But with the East and West intact, many are starting to set their sights south, to the as of yet uncolonized lands that lie there.
Lands like Florida.
Prewar texts suggest that before the Great War, the coastal regions were thriving with activity, both Military and Domestic.
Every Faction has begun sending out scouts to the area in search of new resources.
Resources that could tip the scale in their favor.
The law of the wasteland is first come, first serve when it comes to salvage.
And the want for a preservation of peace might be strong enough to hold out against the greed of men.
But as we know all too well...
War.
